I Can See!

From the moment our son put on his new glasses, we knew his life had been transformed. When he put his new glasses on, he said “I can see.” The sheer joy and wonder in his voice served as a poignant reminder of the immense struggles he had endured, unbeknownst to us, for an extended period.

We traveled a long journey before we partnered with the Naples Lions Club. Working with the club, we found the right optometrist to provide an accurate diagnosis and fit him with bifocal lenses to alleviate headaches, ensure his eyes functioned harmoniously, and protect against sunlight. The sheer joy and wonder in his voice served as a poignant reminder of the immense struggles he had endured, unbeknownst to us, for an extended period.

It is impossible to express adequately in words how grateful we are to you for facilitating this life-changing moment.

Your generosity has not only impacted our son's life positively but has also reaffirmed our faith in humanity's capacity for kindness and compassion. We will forever hold your organization in high regard and remain forever grateful for the remarkable work you do.

I Can Work!

The Naples Lion’s Club has been a tremendous resource for the SVDP HOMe(Homeless Outreach Ministry). So many of the homeless we serve are unable to get eye examinations and glasses simply because they lack medical care and money to pay for this care. One of our homeless neighbors had vision so poor that she was unsafe in traffic and unable to work.

With the glasses you helped her get, she was able to see well enough to go to work and safely navigate in Naples. Without exaggeration, the Naples Lion’s Club has changed lives through the generosity of its programs. At SVDP HOMe we are proud to call the members of the Naples Lion’s Club friends and agents of compassion and grace. Thank you for enriching the lives of the poorest of the poor; the homeless.
